I’m a freelance fiction editor with more than 10 years of experience. I currently work as an Assistant Editor for a mid-sized publisher in Westchester County, NY. I hold a BA in English and an MA in English Literature. I specialize in young adult, mystery, thriller, romance, and new adult, but I am open to all genres.
Below are descriptions of the services I offer, along with their rates. I provide thorough corrections and thoughtful suggestions to aid you in your publishing journey. It is so important to make sure that we are a good fit for each other and that is why I offer sample edits up to 1,000 words. RATES AND SERVICES
Proofreading
This service is to fix all grammatical errors. It does not include content corrections or comments. This service is a good fit for the manuscript/book that is polished and just needs a final pass to check for all remaining errors.

Copyediting
This service includes everything offered in the proofreading package, plus editing for flow, structure, and readability. This includes sprucing up sentences when needed and refreshing vocabulary choices, delivering a polished novel. Does not include plot suggestions.
$0.015/word
Manuscript Feedback
I will make detailed notes throughout your manuscript relating to content (plot points, character development, continuity, etc.) and provide a 2-3-page editorial report.
This service does not include any proofreading or copy editing. No actual changes will be made to your manuscript text. Think “beta reader with helpful feedback.”

As a former blogger, I’d love to help you polish your blog post, article, or essay.

Synopsis Writing
If you have reached the point where you are ready to send your manuscript off to a publisher and they require a one-page synopsis, I’d love to assist you.
$85
For all services:
- I require both parties to sign a standard agreement (for your protection and mine)
- I require half of the payment upfront, and half upon completion of services (I currently accept Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle)
- I prefer to edit in Microsoft Word using Track Changes for your benefit.
